More than a market, it enhances visibility, accelerates deal-making, and helps redefine how immersive experiences reach global audiences, serving as a natural extension of the Immersive Competition.

At its core is the Curators Network — a curated matchmaking program combining keynotes, workshops and tailored networking sessions. It offers immersive portfolio holders direct access to leading museums, cultural institutions and themed entertainment venues actively seeking groundbreaking new experiences.

Complemented by industry talks and networking opportunities, the Immersive Market provides a structured environment for collaboration, deal-making and long-term growth across the immersive ecosystem.

Immersive Market 2026: What’s New?

For its 2026 edition, the Immersive Market will take place from 12 to 22 May at the iconic Carlton Hotel, establishing a new central hub alongside the Festival de Cannes’ Immersive Competition.

This year introduces a stronger focus on experience and immediacy, with the integration of live demo presentations. Immersive works can now be showcased directly to distributors and venue programmers in real conditions, creating a more direct and impactful way to assess and acquire new projects.

The program follows a dynamic daily rhythm: mornings are dedicated to the Curators Network meetings and networking sessions; afternoons open to a wider audience through the Immersive Talks, exploring intersections with fields such as AI, fashion and museums; and evenings feature Immersive Showcases, a series of curated presentations highlighting standout projects in high-impact settings.

The edition opens on 12 May with a special event aboard the Art Explora catamaran, setting the tone for eleven days dedicated to discovery, exchange and new forms of immersive storytelling.

The Immersive Market is the natural extension of the Immersive Competition launched last year and illustrates our ongoing ambition to develop innovation at Cannes. We want to play our part in helping spatial storytellers find distribution opportunities and, at the same time, foster stronger connections between the filmmaking industry and immersive professionals. This is perfectly aligned with our strategy to make Cannes a unique place of artistic and technological innovation.

I am particularly proud of this collaboration between the Art Explora Foundation and the Cannes Film Festival, which is launching its first Immersive Market aboard the Art Explora boat. We look forward to welcoming aboard those who imagine and shape the virtual worlds of tomorrow — digital creation professionals who produce the best in innovation. By hosting this new major professional event, we aim at promoting digital creation and innovation, which we will then share with the widest and most diverse audience possible.
