Tania de Montaigne is an author of novels and essays, including Noire, la vie m\u00e9connue de Claudette Colvin (Grasset), winner of the 2015 Prix Simone Veil, and L’Assignation, les Noirs n’existent pas (Grasset), winner of the 2018 Prix de la La\u00efcit\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n
Her last novel, Sensibilit\u00e9s, was published in October 2023 by Grasset. L’Assignation, les Noirs n’existent pas was adapted for the theatre and made into a documentary, Sale race. Following a stage adaptation of Noire, la vie m\u00e9connue de Claudette Colvin, comes Noire, an immersive experience written and performed by Tania de Montaigne, directed by St\u00e9phane Foenkinos and Pierre-Alain Giraud. <\/p>\n\n
This immersive augmented reality experience opened at the Centre Pompidou in April 2023 and was then selected for the Tribeca Film Festival 2023 and the BFI London Film Festival 2023. It won prizes at the Lux Film Fest 2024 and the Thea awards 2024, and received the \u2018Award for Best Immersive Work\u2019 at the Cannes Festival 2024. This artwork is now touring museums and theatres around the world. <\/p>\n\n
